Govt. I.T.I. Gajabahal, was started in the year 2014 under the Left Wing Extremist (LWE) scheme in the district of Rayagada,under the control of Director of Technical Education and Training,Odisha, Cuttack in Skill development and Technical education Department, Govt. of Odisha.

Although there is substantial improvement in the other LWE affected district of Odisha,the situation remain challenging in the south belt districts like Rayagada.

Education is one of the important counter-measure tool to eradicate the outfits of LWE and minimizing the unemployment problem.

To create the technocrats who can compete and work at global is the core value of institute.
